Amanda :: Student Profile
Q: Why Morrisville?
A: I transfered to Morrisville from the University at Buffalo after one year. I liked the whole 17,000 undergraduate scene in the city; however Morrisville has a more home-y feel to it. My professors actually know my name and face without checking my person number. And I can get in touch with them any time I need to, which is extremely helpful. Q: What activities are you involved in? A: Varsity Swimming, Student Nurse Association, Student Government Organization, Admissions Tour Guide Q: What is your favorite class at Morrisville? A: Social Problems in the 21st Century Q: Why? A: Because I love all of Dr Reymers' classes and it let me get out of the nursing mind set and learn about problems in our society. Plus we got to pick all the topics that went on the syllabus and choose what we wrote our papers on. Q: What is your favorite place on campus? A: Mustangs Q: What do you like to do in your free time? A: Free time? What's that? I work part time as a secretary in the intensive care unit at a local hospital, waitress at the Fort some weekends, hang out with my team or nursing classmates, and honestly...a lot of my "free time" is spent in the library studying or writing up concept maps for patients. Q: What music is on your playlist? A: Everything and anything. Literally my playlist goes from Rhianna to Led Zeppelin to Dave Matthews to Frank Sinatra. Q: Where can you be found at 1pm on Wednesdays? A: Finishing up my paperwork at clinical and heading to grab lunch with Casey. Q: What are your future plans? A: To transfer into Binghamton University's RN to BSN program and work full time. I hope to pursue a Master's degree in Health Care Administration (and become the President of Nursing somewhere) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (and work in a pediatric intensive care unit). |
